Al-Tufayl bin Amr Al-Dawsi

Al-Tufayl bin Amr Al-Dawsi entered Mecca, and the Quraysh warned him of the magic of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and warned him that he was separating between brother and brother, father and son, husband and wife.

Al-Tufayl bin Amr was the master of the Dus tribe in Yemen in pre-Islamic times, a nobleman among the distinguished Arab nobles, and one of the few people of chivalry.

After Al-Tufayl bin Amr Al-Dawsi came to Mecca and the Messenger of God was there, men from the Quraysh walked up to him, and Al-Tufayl was an honorable man, and they said to him: “O Abu Al-Tufayl, you have presented our country, and this man who is among us has troubled us and divided our group.” Like magicians, he separates between a man and his father, between a man and his brother, and between a man and his wife. But we fear for you and your people what has come upon us, so do not speak to him or listen to him.”
