Biden's Campaign Platform Is Worse Than You Think (Ok, Maybe Just As Bad As You Think)

Note: My comments on price controls are about the general concept. I think Biden is talking about a cap for what insurance companies can charge you for your out of pocket costs, so the effects will be different than a traditional price cap. I'm not sure about the details of his plan, but generally if you cap out of pocket expenses for consumers with private insurance, drug companies can still collect their money from someone else. This may cause insurance premiums to increase etc while doing nothing to address the underlying causes of high prices.
