NEW Silver SurfHER Casting | Marvel Embraces M-She-U

Immediately after the votes were tabulated to secure Bob Iger’s control over the Disney board of directors, Marvel announced their Silver Surfer will be played by actress Julia Garner in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, Fantastic Four movie.

It was previously rumored that Anya Taylor-Joy will be playing a gender swapped Silver Surfer, but this is the first official word of the direction Marvel is going. This announcement seems par-for-the-course of recent Marvel movies that have prioritized representation over quality stories and giving fans what they want. It does seem like Kevin Feige and Bob Iger will continue to push a feminist agenda even if it means their movies continue to fail.
