Hoth was a remote, icy planet. It was the sixth planet in the star system also named Hoth, which was located in the Anoat Sector in the Outer Rim Territories. Hoth was also the planet the Rebel Alliance used as a base after they fled from Yavin 4.

Hoth first appeared in the 1980 film Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. The real world filming location was in Finse, Norway.
