Matthew 24:3

Matthew 24:3
The disciples came to Jesus privately, to ask:
1) when the event of tearing down the Temple would be?
2) what would be the sign of His coming?
3) what would be the sign signaling the end of the world?

Why would they come to Him privately and what was their mindset pertaining the questions they asked?
