This is in response to an article written by fact-checker about Lyme originating from Plum Island in 1975, but I too disagree with it not being done in 1975. She says however, that the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) spokeswoman from a 2004 NYT article "Heaping More Dirt on Plum Island" says that she knows of no association Erich Traub had to Plum Island. I show this to be wrong. Fact-checker then says Lyme disease was found in a mummy from 5,300 years ago. I show this to be wrong. Furthermore, she cites Yale researchers who claim Lyme disease to be at least 60,000 years old. I show this to be entirely a guess based on samples that cannot be read properly from 146 ticks collected from 1984-2013. Fact-checker basically got every fact wrong.
