An example of liquefaction of saturated sand as a result of the Taiwan earthquake. An earthquake puts pressure on the groundwater, and when the pressure gets high enough, sand and water are pushed to the surface of the earth and temporarily liquefy the ground.
A magnitude 7.4 earthquake occurred off the east coast of Taiwan (April 3, 2024).
Climate is changing due to 12,000 year cycle.
