But what happens when the exercise you're doing and the food you're eating are doing more harm than good? Ladies, you can end up delaying or skipping your period altogether. Is that so bad? After all, what woman LIKES her period? This week on A Different Perspective, Dr. Patrick Flynn, D.C., answers these questions and more.

- Amenorrhea -- is it really worth being worried about? Does skipping or delaying your period produce concerns in areas other than fertility?

- Temperature-dependent glycemic index of carbohydrates: There's a reason why, in order to get enough nutrients from plants, you have to cook it. Because heating and cooling foods adjusts some of the chemical make up. Doc walks us through how that can be used to our benefit.

- Different exercises for different sexes: Biologically, men and women are different. It makes sense, then, why they should work out in different ways in order to keep their bodies healthy. Doc covers these differences and even how women need to exercise differently on different weeks in order to remain healthy and well.
