Washington Joins in to Blame Chicago USPS for 5,000 late ballots - April 2, 2024.

Both Art (Registrar of Voters) and Supervisor Washington put the blame on the RivCo Chicago USPS for 5,000 late ballots that will not be counted in the March 5 Primary.

The voting citizens need to know that it is the Registrar who picks up the ballots from the Post Office. Why didn't THEY retrieve the ballots on time?

And how do we know the ballots marked March 5 are late? There is no chain of custody policy in place and no documentation other than a sign on top of each box. We have no way of knowing when the March 5th ballots came in.

And why are they being kept in an employee's office? We have no one who understands the election laws enough to force Art to follow ethical and logical procedures.
