Who is Alex Jones: —facts verses deductions?

Fact: Bill Hicks is dead.
No one is more bummed about that than I am; Hicks was a comedic genius and died way too young, but he's long gone.
In addition to that, Jones is so far right he's almost off the map. Hicks was something of a libertarian, sure he had his conspiracy theories, but on most issues he leaned well to the left. Jones is the kind of guy Hicks would have roasted alive.
Further, Bill Hicks would be 62 years old now. Jones is clearly younger than that even if he is aging like crap.
Oh, and then there's the fact that they really look nothing alike. Hicks had dark hair and brown eyes, Jones has fair hair and blue eyes. Jones is notably beefier than Hicks ever was, and Hicks was considerably taller than Jones is.

Jones graduated high school in 1993, and Hicks died a year later. Both Hicks’ and Jones’ parents are real people, who have been in the public eye at some point. Bill’s mother Mary appeared on David Letterman as late as 2009, and Jones’ father is still a practicing dentist in Dallas.

Hicks was only 32 at the time of his death, but had been performing in comedy clubs half his life. He’d been on Letterman over a dozen times, had released two albums, opened for the band Tool, toured the US extensively and was a major star in England. He’d sold a show to the UK’s Channel 4, and had already shot a pilot. He was on his way to becoming, if not an A-lister (his material was too controversial and course to get him the lead in something like a network sitcom) then at least a well-established performer with a cult following, who could have eventually transitioned into acting and writing full time.
