Jesus Ibn Maryam (Arabic: عسيا عبن مريم‎, transliterated: ʿĪsā) is recognized as an important prophet and messenger (messenger and preacher of Allah or One God) in Islam.[1] The Qur'an, Islam's holy book, contains many descriptions of Jesus and his mother Maryam. In Islam, Jesus is given the title "Messiah", which means "Anointed One". Jesus is an important character in various "end times" events in the Qur'an and Hadith. There is an entire chapter or sura in the Qur'an dedicated to Mary, the mother of Jesus, called Sura Maryam. Jesus Ibn Maryam will return to earth. Nabi HazratʿIsa Masih Alaihis Salam will come down near the White Minaret in the city of Damascus, Syria, with wings filled with two angels. According to Surah Nisa verse 158, Allah raised him up. Mirya Ghulam Ahmad, the founder of the Ahmadiyya community, explained the verse in contrast to all previous interpretations, saying that the purpose of raising Jesus Christ is not to raise him alive physically, but to raise his soul through death. But his explanation is not correct. Because the authentic hadiths say that God raised him up through Hazrat Gabriel. And it is universally accepted that the angel of death is not Gabriel, but Azrael alaihis salam. He will reappear to kill Dajjal, the last mischief-maker of the universe, and to confirm the prophethood of the last Prophet Muhammad and to help Muhammadans in religion (Qur'an 3:81). He will reign for about forty years. The earth will take the form of a new paradise in flowers and crops.
