Max Payne is a fugitive DEA agent and former NYPD detective whose wife Michelle and newborn daughter were killed in connection with the Valkyr drug case. Max then goes undercover in the mob and eventually becomes a one-man-army vigilante, waging a personal war on crime.

🔴Part 7: Police Brutality

The cutscene shows you jumping off a train. Follow Cognitti outside the building and chase him across the rooftops via adjoining pipes. Several thugs try to stop you...you know what to do. A helicopter appears and to avoid it run through the open door Cognitti runs through. He warns his minions of your presence. One guy walks up the stairs so he's easy to prepare for; then walk about two-thirds of the way down the stairs and chuck a grenade or a Molotov at the far boxes (if you don't, hell duck behind them, causing further annoyances). Then use Bullet Time to nail the third chap at the bottom left of the stairs. Collect ammo and head downstairs. Collect meds at the bottom, and exit through the gray door. In the alley, three guys on a basketball court will attack. Nail them. Notice the Beretta stuck in the basketball net. Stand underneath it and jump to acquire it. (White men CAN jump, um, that is, if you're Max Payne.) Cognitti takes an elevator upstairs; follow him.
