Israeli airstrike takes out Iranian general in Damascus, Iran prepares for response to Israel attack

Strategic blow: Alleged Israeli airstrike takes out Iranian general in Damascus.
The strike killed Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a top commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), according to a report in Reuters, citing a security source in Lebanon.

Iran’s supreme national security council has decided on a “required” response to the Israeli strike on Damascus on Monday night that killed three top commanders in Iran’s al-Quds force and four other officers, state TV has reported.
