Judith Curry is an interesting kind of climate scientist. She was once an expert quoted as saying man-made climate change was a problem, but since challenging the climate narrative she is now a heretic and outcast.

She suggests that climate science was a pioneer in cancel culture. This seems likely given the enormous profits being made by the billionaire class, on the ideology that the energy allowing society to flourish is a danger to the planet.
