The game of softball contains 18 players, nine per team and seven innings. The home team usually field first and if the score is tied after the seven innings, there will be extra innings played until there is a winner.

This terrifying scene occurred on March 17, 2018, in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. The mom who captured the whole accident said: "I was recording our daughter in her softball game for her dad who was coaching on third base. I was behind the backstop but had wedged my phone to get a clear video. The video shows her second swing which was a foul tip. The ball directly hit the phone where it was wedged sending the phone flying back into my face and then behind me about 2-4 feet. The phone continued to record, I was able to grab the phone and finish recording her at-bat; you know, so dad can help her improve her swing." Lucky for her, she didn’t suffer any serious injuries.
