Mega-Millions Lottery & Facebook Scams (Part 1)

I got a call from 510-546-1524...a number in California being used by an Indian Call Center for a Facebook scam. He wanted me to use Facebook Pay, Venmo, or CashApp to send him money to prove to him that my checking account could accept the gift card money he wanted to send me...even though I told him I had tried to buy a scooter on Facebook Marketplace. Suddenly, he said two people were working to scam me from Texas and Ohio! After much frustration they had another person call me from another scammer section of their call center. This time it was from 510-546-1524. This time it was to announce that I was a Mega-Millions winner. All I had to do was go down to a CVS pharmacy and purchase a Money Gram for $200.00 and call them back with a 14-digit code.
It was a call from a burner phone with a guy who spoke decent American english. I was to pay the $200 fee for the tow truck to deliver me a brand new 2004 Mercedes Coupe convertible...a GLE53...worth about $85 grand...and i had AMG racing wheels! John Chester, the General Manager, would be one of four men who would not only deliver me the car, but a check for $5.5 million dollars! I made up a fake 14-digit Money Gram code and gave it to him....R41345609718265. This guy was so stupid, that he could not remember which lie I told him first.
