Why many Koreans stand with Palestine? In 1948 the US arbitrarily imposed the partition of Korea, on April the 3rd a series of massacres encouraged by the US military authorities started against protesters in the island of Jeju.
They were immediately labeled communists.
More than 30.000 people was killed over a period of 6 years, around 10% of the island's population.
