BMW becomes latest automaker to pull out of Detroit auto show

BMW has become the latest automaker to pull out of the 2019 North American International Auto Show. The move comes as the Detroit Auto Dealers Association is debating whether or not to move the auto show to October, beginning in 2020. A spokesman for the DADA, Max Muncey, said in early March that no decision had been made and an announcement would happen either way likely within the next two months. Sources say the growth of technology and innovative mobility could become more interactive and demonstrative if outdoor space were available to be used. Sources also say there are discussions on how to expand the entire Auto Show experience to showcase more of the city and engage visitors in multiple ways.
