Border guards of the “Steel Frontier” offensive guard brigade raised Ukrainian flags over the settlements of Shabelne, Pishchane and Dehtiarne, which are located near the state border with Russia in the so-called “grey zone” in Kharkiv region.
This is stated in the message of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. It is noted that the territory of these destroyed villages is densely mined, and due to constant enemy shelling, it is not suitable for living.
“However, border guards of the “Steel Border” offensive guard brigade control the area and remind the enemy that this is our land and he has no place here”, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said.
Russia was pushed out of the towns of Shabelne, Pischane and Degtyarne, in the northeast Kharkiv region, back in September 2022, but the border areas are under constant shelling, have been heavily mined and, consequently, are uninhabitable. Given their locations, they are de facto frontline towns.
“Border guards of the ‘Steel Border’ offensive guard brigade control the area,” said the State Border Service on Telegram. “We remind the enemy that this is our land and he has no place here!”, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said.
