WOKE is a slang term that means "aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues of racial and social justice" and originated in African American English. WOKE has progressive intentions and its advocates are genuinely committed to social justice. The problem is that WOKE is a form of applied bourgeois ideology which amalgamates, in a non methodological and uncritical manner; concepts derived from Liberal identity, Intersectionality, Critical Race Theory and Post-Colonialism. WOKE is anti-Marxist because: (1) it denies the centrality of worker led class struggle as the only possible way to overthrow the dictatorship of capitalism (the source of social and racial injustice). (2) WOKE posits a subjective ideology which lacks an empirical basis in concrete anti-capitalist political-economic analysis. (3) WOKE accepts capitalism, its agenda is cultural reformist and not social revolutionary.
