Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast
Today, clouds and winds will increase as a new storm system approaches from the southwest. It looks like the day itself will stay dry for the most part, but some rain showers will move in as the evening wears on. Temperatures will be in the mid- to upper-40s, though cooler along Lake Michigan. Most of this rainfall will fall later tonight and through the overnight hours. If the temps are just cool enough at the onset of this, there could be a few snowflakes to start, but most of this should just fall as rain. Rainfall amounts appear to be between a quarter to a half inch. Any rain to start the day should end early, then we could see a few breaks of sun as the day wears on. Highs look to be above average for this time of year with readings the lower-50s. Tuesday night looks quiet with lows in the upper-20s. Sunshine returns on Wednesday with highs in the mid-50s under mostly sunny skies. It could be cooler at times near Lake Michigan.
