PASTOR IS TOO LOUD! / Pastor Bob's Coffee Break

Dear Pastor Bob: My wife and I attended an Easter service at a local Church on Easter Sunday. It was a great service, and we felt the presence of the Lord. The pastor was “on fire” for God in his sermon, and everyone in attendance enjoyed the preaching, which was both Biblical and sound. However, I noticed the Church was only about half full. I asked one of the elders about it, because Easter services are often packed. The elder told me that the pastor was fairly new, and that many of the Church members left because they didn’t care for his preaching style. They didn’t like that he got loud at times during the service, and moved around a lot in the pulpit. From my observation, he was just passionate. He wasn’t being mean. Is it Biblical or wise to leave a Church simply because you don’t care for the style of preaching?  Show more
