Independent candidate for Ballymun Finglas, Jeff Gallagher has told RTÉ reporter Barry O'Kelly: "You could be the nicest man in RTÉ but you're part of that establishment. And over the last three or four years you've shown your colours - you're the propagandist arm of the government".
