China's Country Garden Delays 2023 Financial Results

03/28/2024 REUTERS: China's largest property developer Country Garden delayed the publication of its financial results for last year on Thursday, saying it needed to collect more information to make appropriate accounting estimates and judgments. Country Garden defaulted on $11 billion of offshore bonds late last year, also missed a $13.3 million coupon payment this month. Country Garden’s shares will be suspended from April 2nd, pending the publication of the annual results. Country Garden has hired Kroll to conduct a liquidation analysis before a court hearing in mid-May.
