These two little boys are antagonizing two peacocks minding their own business…

We are not actually sure if the birds being provoked are peacocks, or in the case of these two peahens, but we think they are. So, that gives us the excuse to share some brief information with you about peacocks. It turns out their actual full name is the Peafowl. The different genders are what we are more familiar with the peacock (the colorful males) and the peahens (the brown females). Peafowl are originally from three different places, India, Southeast Asia and the Congo Basin. Most people familiar with the Indian peafowl that features males with iridescent blue feathers. The Asian and Congo ones are more bronze and green. Peafowl are known as sexual dimorphic animals. This means that the males and females look drastically different. Thus, you have the colorful male peacocks versus the brown peahens.
