- A man thought to be armed and carrying explosives took four people hostage in a "party cafe" in the Dutch town of Ede. Three of the hostages, apparently members of staff, were released seemingly unharmed, but one was still thought to be inside. The siege then ended shortly after a man wearing a balaclava walked out of the building with his hands up. He was then handcuffed by police. The fourth hostage was also released.
