In this video, we take a look at what causes procrastinating, and what you can do to stop procrastination.

In order to progress on your success journey, it is vital to stop being lazy, stop procrastinating and get things done on a consistent basis. Most people who struggle to accomplish their dreams fail because they can't stop procrastination, and they need a strong stop laziness motivation to help them get things done.

Thousands of years of evolution has not designed humans to be super productive or ambitious, it has designed us to survive. This is why when faced with a task that needs us to step out of our comfort zone, our natural inclination is to push back and opt to save energy by procrastinating. Being lazy used to be a survival feature that helped avoid wasting our energy until absolutely necessary. In the modern world however, if you want to compete at the highest level and succeed, it is essential to learn how to push through the points of resistance and break out of the laziness cycle.

The best way to stop procrastination is to implement the 5 second rule in order to break the point of resistance. Anytime you need to get something done, but you don't feel like it and you wanna just be lazy and not do anything, recognize that this is a point of resistance, count down from 5 to 1 in your head, and once you get to number 1 get up and just start.

This is a very important part of the stop procrastination motivation, just start! The first couple of minutes of doing something you don't feel like doing sucks, but after a couple of minutes you start to build momentum, you start to get in the state of flow, and before you know it just doing the task in itself is motivating you to keep pushing forward and get more and more done. This is why ending procrastination is mostly just about conjuring the ability to start the task, because once you do, it gets a lot easier to avoid procrastinating and actually get stuff done.

This applies whether you are procrastinating at work, procrastinating studying, procrastinating homework, etc. The principle remains the same regardless of what task needs to be done, and what reason your mind is coming up with for why you can't just start doing it right now.
