#WATCH illegal Migrant charged with the murder of Ruby Garcia had several run-ins with police before he was deported in 2020.

Brandon Ortiz-Vite, 25, was charged with the following Tuesday: felony murder, open murder, carjacking, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearm.

Court records reveal Garcia was in the car with Ortiz-Vite, when an argument took place, and she was shot multiple times.

Court documents reveal he confessed to shooting Garcia, then dumping her body on the side of the highway and taking her car.

The car was found abandoned in South Haven with bullet holes and blood.

Ortiz-Vite has a criminal record that dates back to 2017 in Grand Rapids, when he was cited for driving without a license, or on a license that wasn’t valid.

Six months later, Ortiz-Vite was arrested and charged with illegal entry into a residence in Wyoming, court records show.
He's scheduled to be back in court April 9 on the most recent felony charges.
