Another fatal shooting in Houston
HPD have released video footage from a fatal OIS that took place on March 3rd in the 14400 block of Alrover Street. The suspect was armed and threatening to shoot at police.
According to HPD, the incident began with a call reporting a robbery in progress at a convenience store located in the 3300 block of Fuqua Street. The suspect, armed with a pistol, reportedly threatened multiple customers in the store before leaving with a bottle of wine.
Police say upon arriving at the location, officers found the suspect seated on a bench, holding a firearm. Despite attempts to persuade him to drop the weapon, the suspect refused and instead advanced toward the officers, raising the firearm in their direction.
In response, the officers discharged their weapons, striking the suspect. Emergency medical services were called to the scene, but the suspect was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
