Matera Night View with Live Music

This is a very romantic view of The Sassi at night. In the background you will hear live music from a local musician which simply enriches the experience. People have lived in The Sassi village since the Old Stone Age and there wasn’t running water or electricity for centuries. In the 1950s, residents of The Sassi were removed from their ancestral home by the Italian government and the town was renovated. Now, there is running water, electric lights, restaurants and hotels. Enjoy this whimsical view of an ancient town from high on a bluff.
