Russia's Savage Response To U.S.-led West Criticising Its Veto At UN Shielding North Korea

Russia has given a savage response to the U.S.-led West for criticising its veto at the United Nations on the renewal of sanctions against North Korea's nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles program. Due to Russia's move, the UN failed to impose the sanctions that it has been renewing annually for 14 long years. Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that major powers should stop strangling North Korea and accused the U.S. of fomenting military tensions in the Korean Peninsula. Russia was backed by China, who abstained during the vote. China said that there was a need to opposed 'blind sanctions' on North Korea.Show more
