Terror, terrorism, two words the world has grown accustomed to. Over-used, and under-defined, it is necessary, for a moment to pause at the edge, where this word marks the beginning of an abyss. Terror traces a line in mind sands where meaning shifts, political alignments are set adrift, and meaning is either over-coded, or, completely lost in a sea of foaming non-sense.

In this Blindspot we are engaging with more than just recent ‘news events’. We ask what is terror, and what is its relationship to information, in the age of the dictatorship of the digitosphere as Buiteboer explored in Searching for Madness in the Method.

In this era of asymmetric warfare, turbulence in global politics, and re-alignment of the global system itself with the appearance of a multipolar world order, it is necessary to pause at the edge, and take stock of the sources of terror afflicting the human condition.

The transparency of evil, in this era, is evident in the daily dose of bad news dished up by IDF as it continues its campaign of genocidal state terror. In Moscow, recently, we saw the horrendous head of terror peak out from behind its curtain of secrecy to mow more than one hundred concert goers down.
