Woman Discovered Squatters Took Over Her Home In Texas While She Was Out Of State, They Sold All Her Stuff At A Yard Sale As Cops Said They Can't Do Anything — SQUATTERS destroyed a Texas woman's home and SOLD her things at a yard sale, while police said they couldn't help. Terri Boyette found out her Dallas home was squatted in while she was in Florida caring for her sick mother. When she learned about the situation, Boyette called the police —— but was told she needed to evict the squatter since he had been there for over ten days. The squatter received his final eviction notice on Feb. 6 and was formally evicted on March 20. She says that he has tried to come back.
