Investigators say the scammer posed as an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission and told the victim she won a Publisher's Clearing House contest. The woman finally told a friend about it who convinced the woman to call the police. Investigators say it is not likely the scammer will be caught and remind residents to be cautious of any stranger asking for money.
