First responders from 40 agencies train for active shooter situations
7 years ago
More than three dozen law enforcement agencies from across metro Detroit teamed up on Thursday morning to conduct active shooter training. More than 2,500 officers go through a course by OakTac that takes them through several scenarios, and so far, they say it's successful. "There's always going to be unknowns and things that will surprise you in any situation but you prepare the best you can and I think that's what has been done with all these cheese and directors and now the fire service being brought in on a regular basis that makes us better prepared," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.
