This speech by President John F Kennedy, at American University, was THE tipping point in the power struggle between Kennedy and the CIA and led to him being assassinated.

This was one of the most powerful speeches Kennedy had given where he refused to continue the build up of nuclear arms with Russia and presented a route for world peace. This took courage and was incredibly unpopular within the beltway, the Pentagon and the CIA.
