The Far Eastern Amur leopard is characterized by its beautiful, thick fur adorned with distinctive rosettes, or spots, which provide excellent camouflage in its forest habitat. It has a sleek, muscular body built for agility and stealth, allowing it to navigate through the dense vegetation with ease. With a length of up to 6.2 feet (1.9 meters) and weighing between 70 to 105 pounds (32 to 48 kilograms), this leopard is relatively smaller than other leopard subspecies. Its large paws and powerful jaws make it a formidable predator, capable of taking down prey much larger than itself, including deer, boar, and smaller mammals.
