Sam Childers was living a life of drugs and crime across many parts of the United States. After hitting rock bottom, he got clean and he gave his life to God. Sam felt he was “guided” to work in missionary in Sudan, Africa. When he got there, he found himself in the middle of a horrific civil war waged by warlords and fought by child soldiers.

Sam immediately joined the fight and started to defend, rescue and house child soldiers in the middle of a horrifying war zone. 27 years later, Sam and his organisation have built numerous orphanages rescued thousands and thousands of children and fed hundreds of thousands of people in need in Sudan, Uganda and now Congo.
