Why It's tough to get into MEDITATION & SPIRITUALITY (My Personal Experience)

Here I talk about why it's so hard to get into meditation and spirituality.

The act of making up your mind and deciding to meditate is challenging in itself, and then you have social constructs that act as distractions. As you sit and try to meditate, a myriad of thoughts flood your mind within the first minute. Feeling the need for help, you seek out a teacher to learn meditation from. However, you find yourself battling your inner demons, requiring immense willpower to learn from this teacher who imposes many rules, making the process even harder.

Despite these challenges, you persist in your efforts. Yet, you struggle to let go and achieve freedom from your own inner demons. When you attempt to communicate with your mentor, expressing the difficulty in following all the rules and seeking an alternative approach, they react negatively, calling you the devil and cursing your lack of progress.

This was my experience when I first started to learn meditation from a guru. As soon as I mentioned the difficulty I faced in clearing my mind and letting go, even after following all the rules such as the mantras and lighting lamps, he was rude, dismissive, and said some hurtful things, which hindered my spiritual journey at that point.

This led me to resent spirituality. However, one day I decided to give it another try. Instead of learning from someone, I chose to let my intuition guide me.

As I listened to my inner voice, everything became clear, and I experienced my first breakthrough in just 25 minutes. Yes, you heard that right. I was in shock mixed with awe that I could achieve this state of calmness without following any rules, but instead just sitting there and listening to my inner voice, intuition, or higher self.

The POINT of this video is not to criticize gurus who establish rules for meditation.

They have learned this art by following these rules.

Instead, this video aims to share my experience so that YOU DON'T develop a negative opinion about teachers who may be mean and rude.

They are doing the best they can, just as you did.

Just because you struggled to follow the rules and let go of your emotions doesn't mean you are the devil. It's okay, even if you encounter teachers who say mean things and are overly rude.

Don't sweat it, don't react, just move on. All they need is love, all you need is love, all we need is love.

It's only love that can help us progress. Developing hatred and anger would only hinder our spiritual progress and our lives.
