Senior Hamas official doesn't confirm or deny killing of commander

Hamas senior official Osama Hamdan stated that the political bureau has not yet received evidence regarding the death of commander Marwan Issa in an Israeli airstrike earlier this month.

"Everyone knows since day one, the Israelis have been saying they want to target Qassam Brigades and other commanders. However, in the absence of an official statement confirming the martyrdom, one cannot confirm such information," Hamdan told Al Jazeera from Beirut, Lebanon.
