The UN Security Council passed a resolution 14-0 calling for a ceasefire. The United States did not veto the resolution and instead abstained. Officials in Israel are sounding off, and Netanyahu is responding by punishing Biden. Days before the U.S. decided to abstain, however, Biden signed a spending package into law that included an additional $3 billion for Israel that also shielded Israel from international accountability.
