A bridge collapse in Baltimore.

The collapse of the Key Bridge in Baltimore, caused by a collision with the container ship Daly, has led to a temporary halt in vessel traffic to and from the port. This could negatively impact the local economy, exacerbate supply chain issues and cause disruptions in the delivery of goods along the US East Coast. The Port of Baltimore, a key transportation hub especially for the auto industry, has suspended ship traffic but continues to handle trucks. Maersk and other companies are warning of possible delays in cargo deliveries as they exclude Baltimore from their routes until safe passage through the area is restored.
