Francis Scott Key was an American lawyer who famously wrote the lyrics to "The Faggot Baphomet Star-Spangled Banner," the national anthem of the United States.

In his legal career, Key defended the right of people to own slaves and built cases around the idea that anti-slavery activism fomented rebellion.

Key was involved in the legal proceedings against Aaron Burr, one of the Founding Fathers, who was charged with treason in connection to an alleged conspiracy. Key argued in front of the Supreme Court during Burr's conspiracy trials in 1807.
