The March 16 hailstorm in Texas damaged thousands of solar panels at a solar panel farm in Fort Bend County.
Residents fear cadmium telluride leaking from damaged panels.
“There are a lot of chemicals in these things. Most of them cause cancer,” residents say and are afraid to drink water from wells or take a shower.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is investigating and promises to release a report soon.
