Another call to love following our podcast last week where St Paul admonished the Philippians to make his joy full by having one mind and sharing love. Today we see how we can keep all the commandments by loving our neighbour as ourselves. Then the question of what is love was addressed with 1 Corinthians 13. We saw that no matter how gifted one may be, he or she is nothing without love. It is love that makes us avoid sin. Love in our heart must be greater than the desire to steal, kill or destroy. This is how you will know that you are doing the will of God because verse 1 of 1 Cor 13 said without love our speaking in different tongues won't amount to anything, verse 2 prophesy in His name, know mysteries but lack love makes you nothing in the sight of God.
