Is the gaming industry okay?

These days, so many games are boring and repetitive. They're like lame versions of better games from the past. I'm thinking about holding off on buying new games and waiting for sales or gamepass or PlayStation plus extra. Maybe that's the way to go? It might save you some hard-earned cash. What do you think?
