This kid is attempting to jump a pogo stick on to a skate board!

Before we get into what this kid did, let us explore the tools that he is using to hurt himself. Starting with the pogo stick. The modern version of the pogostick is based on an idea invented by a pair of Germans, Max Pohlig and Ernst Gottschall, in 1920. There have been multiple improvements on their original design. As for the skateboard, the first boards were made from wooden boxes or boards with roller skate wheels attached to the bottom. It is commonly accepted that these box boards started appearing in France just after World War 2. A California business man first ordered manufactured skateboards around the same time. It was originally called sidewalk surfing. Though skateboarding did not really become popular until the late 1960s and the 1970s with peaks and valleys in the decades since.
