To the Jew First

The Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek." (Rom. 1:16)
Since he also claimed in that same letter that he was "the apostle of the Gentiles" (11:13), is this a contradiction?
