The FIFA World Cup is the best tournament of all, in any sport, and we are currently in that dark time between competitions. The last one was possibly the best ever, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup will have a lot to do to beat it. But is there a way to find out if it will?

Well, in this long-term Football Manager 2024 simulation experiment, we will try to find out! What this series will do, is simulate every single match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on FM24, starting out from the first round of Asian Qualifying, all the way through to the World Cup Final itself. We will see every goal, every miss, every red card and everything in between; this will be a Football Manager World Cup simulation series like no other!

In this video, we have two teams who would we have thought would by vying for a place at the World Cup but who both find themselves outside the qualification places as Ecuador host Peru. The hosts cancelled out their points deduction with an opening round win, but still find themselves still on zero points, whilst Peru are still looking for their first win after opening up their campaign with a draw and a loss.
