There is no indication in scripture that the 7 churches of Revelation are 7 ages of the church.  This is a doctrine of man imposed upon the scripture.

The fruit of such a doctrine is that causes fatalism and for people to give up and wait for rescue.

There is no hope for God’s victory on the Earth or for the Church to accomplish the Great Commission and make disciples of all Nations.

But Blessed is the one who has Faith in Jesus as Lord and is busy about accomplishing the work of the kingdom in the midst of evil days.
